gmail crashing my browser

Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed Firefox crashes when I attempt to leave my gmail inbox for another site. I type in the address of the site into the address bar, hit enter, and then nothing. The browser ends up crashing.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Realizations mixed with a few Complaints

Are using the Firebug plugin? If so, watt version? My firefox was crashing constantly until i installed the Firebug 1.1 beta. Site’s that seemed to crash it were iGoogle and Yahoo Mail (Beta). Generally, sites with heavy DOM manipulation were the biggest problem.

I have been getting this when i close a tab with yahoo mail loaded. for a good while now, its terribly annoying since i have visual studio installed and it always wants to debug.

I have read that gmail and the Web Developer Tool Bar do not play nice with each other.
