Soda vs. Pop

What word do you use when asking for a “soft-drink”? Some data collected in 2003 shows the varying regional terminology used

I say pop. I’m ok with either, but not a big fan of combining into “soda-pop”.

Since when are the prices for a pop not published on a restaurants menu? This is a popular tactic with beer lists, but now it’s showing up, or disappearing rather, on the entire beverage menu.

If you can’t tell me how much a drink is, I’m pretty sure you are overcharging.
