Late Last Call

I went to a hockey game Monday night and in the third period, the beer vendors started announcing last call.  Normally this wouldn’t have registered so much with me, but tonight it did.  Why?  There were exaclty 4 minutes and 22 seconds left in the game.   This didn’t seem like an adequate amount of time to consume (and enjoy) a 16 oz beer and leave the stadium.

Consider yourself lucky….at baseball games, last call is the 7th inning. You get almost 3 innings to drink it down. That’s 5 1/3 ounces per inning.

I think the only reasonable answer is that hockey must be fixed. They knew it going to go to a shoot-out, so they sold longer.
