California ‘Dollar’ Store

So I’ve been in CA for a few days and pretty much everything is fairly similar here, bar the 50 cent increase in gas prices and the endless signs about causes of cancer.   Anyway, while driving I noticed California’s version of the Dollar Store.  They are called Dollar Quarter stores.  Everything is $1.25 instead of $1 like the dollar stores we are used to in the midwest.

Signs of things to come?  Hopefully not.  Dollar Quarter is a terrible name.

Where is the opposite of California?

    Why you ask?

Because……… maybe, there are Quarter Dollar Stores there….and for 25 cents, who couldn’t afford a few extras??

its crazy how the same dollar in NY, Wyoming, Austin, Miami, San Fran, Hawaii, Alaska etc will buy completely different things.

Here’s to living in a shanty in Cali for a few years making inflated wages and moving back to the middle of no-where and retiring where the cost of living is half of cali…play the conversion factor from Industrialized America to 3rd world US…

I wonder how much the quarter machines in the front of grocery stores charge for a plastic football helmet, wad of sugar called “gum”, etc…?? $.31??
