Yogurt Explosion

How come every time I open a yogurt cup it ‘burps’ some yogurt out at me? It’s always so messy. Can’t they put a release valve on the lid so I don’t have this problem?

Anyone have any yogurt opening tips to help me out?

Take a tooth pick and push a hole through the aluminum foil top first…..it relieves the build up and THUS..no yogurt BURP.

I just bought some Berkeley Farm yogurt. And, their were no lids!
I called Berkeley Farms and they said that there will longer be lids on their yogurt products. Doesn’t this pose a health hazard? So easily for the thin tin foil to be punctured with an infusion of bacteria and viruses.

The Berkeley Farm spokesman said that other yogurt companies are doing the same.

I can’t recall the last yogurt cup I had that actually had a lid.

Worried about the safety of a cup without a top? Well then I guess the yogurt explosion burp is a good thing since that means that no miniscule hole has been poked in the foil.

if you’re really worried you can invest in the larger yougurt cup, the multiple serving size, that usually comes with a plastic lid. Then invest in a little tupperware…problem averted AND… you’ll be saving some plastic…
