Holiday Weekend Plans

A lot of people have started (at least it’s new to me) scheduling their weddings/reunions/etc on holiday weekends.  As much as I’m sure you think you’re making it easy for your guests to travel given a long weekend, it seems somewhat rude to me.  Those weekends are my vacation too.  It’s not that I don’t want to go to your wedding or my own high school reunion, but any Saturday would suffice.  Instead, my long weekend plans now take a backseat to yours because realistically, am I going to say no?
